Hi there! I am Rachel Gillen.
Photography and videography have been a lifelong passion of mine. I earned my associate’s degree in videography in 2005, the same year I picked up my first digital camera. I quickly fell in love with photography—shooting for friends and family, and even shadowing a friend at a wedding. Life brought challenges that placed my creativity on pause, and my camera eventually gathered dust.
About five years ago, during a major life transition, I picked up my camera again. While rebuilding my life, I rediscovered my passion for digital photography. I upgraded my equipment, taught myself new techniques, and surrounded myself with people who valued my art and encouraged my growth. Photography became not only my creative outlet, but also a space for healing and renewed purpose.
Today, I am the President of Boomzbeatz Multimedia, under which my filmography operates. Our multimedia company includes a Roku and Amazon Firestick channel, BoomzTV, as well as a digital magazine, Street Noize. These platforms allow me to explore a wide range of creative work—from photography to commercials, music videos, and more.
I’m grateful to have a supportive partner who assists me at every shoot and brings an additional creative perspective to our work. Together, we aim to bring each client’s vision to life with care, intention, and artistry.
My favorite sessions to photograph are branding, themed shoots, and fashion shows. I’m a laid-back, easy-going person, and my goal is to create an environment where clients feel comfortable, confident, and free to be their authentic selves.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a full-time single mom to two beautiful, creative daughters who inspire me every day. They often join me on shoots or step in front of the lens with costumes and imaginative storylines of their own. Their creativity fuels mine, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.
